Guess what? If you have poor boundaries, you aren’t going to get better. Even more so, if you have poor boundaries, you won’t be able to live the life you want to live and will continue to let other people’s energy and thoughts, etc. invade your being. At the end of the day, there are many keys to wellness and beating disease, but I would say one of the biggest keys is boundaries.
For myself, I would say my boundaries were not super poor but they were not way I really wanted them to be. I would maybe put others at times before me, let my boundaries lax for various reasons and just not fully keep my boundaries the way I wanted and therefore live my life the way I wanted.
So fast forward to when Lyme came into the picture, my boundaries became totally screwed up and everything and anybody would invade them. So much so, that it would constantly take away from what I needed to do to get better and do the things that I needed to focus on in my life. This is very common with Lyme Disease for various reasons.
I have had to work hard at protecting my boundaries and while doing that, a lot of people don’t like it, but guess what, they aren’t living your life and guess what, you want to get better, so stick to having solid boundaries and not becoming erratic and letting outside forces affect you.
